My graph is still incomplete. I have a few more statistics to add and I am also going to include a line graph that shows how the messes will increase or decrease over time. I will color code each type of mess, as I have other times throughout my infographic with the coordinating color.

Hey class, sorry for not posting this sooner! I didn't realize until I was posting all of my comments on your blogs that I had posted my assignment 2 blog on a different blogger account for another class!
For my mapping project, I have decided to portray my life as a mommy through all of the messes that I have to clean up daily. As some of you already know, I have an 18 month old son who I am constantly chasing, playing with and then cleaning up after (when im not at school). I have calculated how many diapers I have changed, times i've cleaned his playroom, baths i've given, and how many sticky hands i've wiped in the past 18 months. I have also calculated how much time and money this has costed me. I am planning on displaying this information using a combination of graphs, graphics or illustrations, and just written information.
This infographic caught my eye because of the graphics. I liked that you could tell it was about marriage without even reading the title. I also like that each piece of information was represented with its own graphic.
This design is really clean and simple. I like the use of transparent colors on a white background. I also like the 3D aspect of it. It has a sense of depth.

I chose this infographic because it included a lot of information through both graphs and written information. Although it is a bit cluttered, it is still organized and consistent.

Again, this one is very organized and easy to follow. It contains a lot of information but is still simple and clean.

I chose this infographic because I am playing with the idea of using a large illustration of a baby as my central focus and having all of my information stem off of it.

I am doing our first information graphics assignment on the fatality rate of bicyclists according to the time of day that they ride their bikes in. I chose to use the colors red, yellow and green to mimic traffic lights, red being the most dangerous time, yellow being a cautious time and green being a generally safe time. I have added a color key to indicate the percentages that each color represent. I then use a bicyclist traffic sign to trace a bike and make the graphs the inside of the wheels. I havent laid everything out the way that it will be when Im done, but i'm getting there!
